Summer is around the corner and we've got a great summer planned! CPC Student Ministry has three summer internship openings available! One internship will work with our 5th and 6th grade ministry called The Edge as well as our Jr. High Ministry at our Foster City Campus, one internship will work with our Jr. High and our High School Ministry at our Foster City Campus, and the third internship will be be with our Middle School and High School Ministries at our North Campus. The job is 40 hours a week. 30 hours of actual ministry time with students, events, camps as well as Sunday mornings and midweek events. 10 hours will be spent studying on different topics related to the church, student ministry and your spiritual life. You will also participate in a weekly evening class as well as a weekly book/bible study. The pay is $2000 for 10 weeks of summer. The internship starts at the end of May and ends in the middle of August. This internship is specifically designed for college students who have been a part of the CPC Student Ministry.
We are now accepting application for our summer 2012 internship ministry! You will have an exciting summer ahead of you based on three words: go, do, and be. All of them are verbs; action is required. First we want to train you up to GO. Jesus tells us to “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Wherever God might have you GO, we want you to be prepared and trained to preach the gospel, whether it’s in our local middle school or in an orphanage in a third world country. Do: Paul challenges Timothy to be steady, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist and fulfill your ministry. Paul was really passing the torch to the next generation. Our desire is to teach you to be steady in ministry, to endure suffering, to reach the world, as well as help you find your calling in ministry. The final word is BE. The Psalms tell us to “BE still and know that I am God.” One of the most important parts of ministry is BEing still. We want to teach you to hear God’s voice as you study His Word, as you work along side staff and students, as well as sitting quietly before the Lord.
I’m praying that God will guide your footsteps as you consider spending your time Going, Doing and Being different for the sake of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
