In the Fall, high school students have the opportunity to be a part of a servant leadership team. The primary role of a CPC Servant Leader is to serve the CPC High School Ministry. For the best example of what it means to serve, see Philippians 2:1-11.
The following are the expectations of a CPC Servant Leader:
• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Have a desire to serve God with your whole life.
• Have a commitment to grow through individual and group study.
• Have a commitment to a lifestyle made up of choices that honor God.
• Have a willingness to remain teachable and willing to grow in your faith.
• Be willing to attend youth group events and greet visitors.
• Attend all required Servant Leader monthly meetings, training events and complete all
assignments given.
What does being on the high school Servant Leadership Team look like?
As a member of the Servant Leadership team you will first of all commit to the expectations above. You will meet once a month for two hours (most likely on Sundays after Sunday morning meeting) for training, ministry strategizing and prayer. You will learn and practice what it means and looks like to serve in the high school ministry by doing things like greeting, planning, set up, tear down, clean up and being an example of a Christian that is learning to walk with Christ. Your student may pick up an application from Rob McIlvoy on Sunday.
