This Week In Student Ministry

The Edge, Jr. High and High School all meet this Sunday, March 14 at their normal times.

The Edge goes to play broom hockey at 12:30 on Sunday, March 14. 

Jr. High Life Groups meet this Tuesday, March 16. Jr. High also goes to play laser tag on Friday, March 19. Sunday is the last day to sign-up.

If you have a high school student going to Mexico, make sure to download the consent to travel form, fill out and have it notarized.

High School Life Groups meet this Wednesday, March 17 at their various hubs. There is also a high school service project this Saturday, March 20 from 9:30 am -12:30 pm. Meet at the church and spend the morning ministering to the homeless in the city.

Don't forget about our Parenting Seminar this Saturday from 9 am - noon in the multipurpose room. We will be talking about "Shepherding Your Tween And Teens Heart." It's going to be a morning you won't want to miss! $5 donation at the door.

Love Works Sign Ups Begin On Sunday

Love Works is almost here! If you don't know what Love Work is, on March 28, 2010, we’ll cancel our regular weekend worship services and send everyone out to work on service projects up and down the Peninsula. Starting this Sunday, you and your family will have the opportunity to sign up for a Love Works project. You will be able to sign up for a project in the courtyard as well as on our website at www.cpcfc.org. The Student Ministry will be heading up a beautification project at Bowditch Middle School in Foster City. We are looking for people willing to work hard and get their hands dirty! The Bowditch facility needs some love. We will be gardening, planting flowers, trimming bushes, and various kinds of painting projects such us sanding, priming and painting tables and benches, painting some of the outside walls of the portables and repainting lines. We would also like to be able to replace some of the worn out benches with new wood and paint. We are looking for people who can hold a paintbrush, who enjoy gardening, who have some construction skills. The Student Ministry is encouraging families to serve together on a project of their choice. I hope you will take the time to read over the bulletin insert that will list all of the projects and discuss as a family where you will choose to serve. The Week In Student Ministry

The Edge, Jr. High and HIgh School Ministries do NOT meet this Sunday, October 4 due to the Outdoor service at Leo Ryan Park.  Join the CPC Millbrae and Foster City Campus' for our Outdoor Service on Sunday at 11 am.  Bring a picnic lunch for after the service where we will also listen to live music and support some people getting baptized! Hope to see you there.

Jr. High Life Groups kick-off this Tuesday, October 6 from 7-8:30 at the church!  It's going to be an awesome year for Jr. High Life Groups.

High School Life Groups will be meeting, but not at the hubs. Each Life Group will be out doing their own thing this Wednesday, October 7.  Ask your student what their Life Group will be doing. 

The College Ministry kicks off their Bible Study this Thursday, October 8 from 7-9 at Darcie's house.  For more information have your college student check out our Facebook Page, our website or email Darcie.

Jr. High Life Group Helps Clean-Up the Planet!

Ken Wong is one of our Jr. High Life Group Leaders.  I invited him to write a post about his outing with his Life Group. "Despite just learning about the Earth Day Clean-up of the Bay Trail and Lagoon area in Burlingame just days before, the guys in our Life Group that could make it out decided that it would be a great outing to take care of the planet that God has blessed us with. Ben, Kenny, Ian and myself assembled for FRESH donuts and orange juice at 9am to join dozens of other volunteers who had a heart for our environment. Most encouraging was the reduction of plastic bags that were picked up in years past, to only be replaced by more styrofoam packing peanuts (or "ghost poopies" as some refer to them)! As usual, we picked up a ton of cans, bottles, cups, lids, cups, a dead seagull (!) and the boys found a jellyfish that had washed up onto shore. Despite being a cold and blustery morning, we ended the outing with sandwiches for lunch at Subway's with all the guys commenting how great it felt to be taking part of doing something really much bigger than ourselves in helping to make the world a little bit better place for us all! Way to go, guys!"

Last Sunday to Sign Up for Student Ministry BBQ

Don't forget that this Sunday, May 10 is the last Sunday to sign-up for the all Student Ministry Family BBQ taking place on Sunday, May 17 from 1-3 pm at Booth Bay Park.  

Easter Weekend

There are many wonderful opportunities to worship this Easter Weekend.  Our Good Friday service starts at 5 pm at the CPC Foster City Campus.  This is my favorite service of the year! You won't want to miss it.

On Easter Sunday, there are several opportunities to worship.  The Foster City Campus has three identical services; 9 and

11 am with Mark preaching live, and another 

11 am service held at Charter Square with live worship and Mark preaching via video.  CPC Millbrae is also holding an Easter service at 

11 am with Rob preaching live.  

Don't forget to stick around afterward for our Easter Baptism.  We have a ton of kids from 5th–12th grade getting Baptized! Hope to see you on Sunday.
