It is such an exciting time to be a part of CPC. Almost a year ago I sat at a Starbucks in Las Vegas talking with Rob Hall about everything God is doing at CPC. At the end of the conversation I asked Rob a pointed question: “I want to be a part of that; do you have a role for me?” I feel so blessed that four months later I was moving my family to San Mateo to partner in what God is already doing here.
God has placed the fantastic vision in the heart of our elders to make and mature 5,000 followers of Christ on three permanent campuses by 2020. You can already see God doing this work right now. At each of our campuses we are typically “maxed out” in our services and the people just continue to walk through our doors. In addition to numerical growth, so many of you have shared stories with me about how you are personally growing as you serve and stay connected at CPC. We need to give God the glory for all this and thank Him for letting us be part of His vital work here on the Peninsula!
Now for the big news!
As part of this grand vision to reach the lost, we will be adding a 3rd service here at CPC Foster City starting on Sunday, April 7. The new service times will be 8:00, 9:30 and 11:15 am.
To accomplish this we are going to need everyone’s help. We want 150 people to commit to attend the 8:00 am service for 12 months. We are going to need more CPCKid’s leaders, greeters, ushers, and someone to volunteer with campus maintenance. Please don’t sit back and think that someone else will fill these roles; we need your help immediately! You can email Celia Peckham (firstname.lastname@example.org) and let her know where you feel God is leading you to serve.
I can’t wait to see what God does at our Foster City Campus in the next year as we continue to reach the Peninsula together!
Seeking to Please Him,
